During his twenties Iry Paret took life easy and cool, playing guitar in honky-tonk bars in south Louisiana, boozing it up whenever possible, and trying to stay away from trouble. But trouble found him one night when he killed a man in a barroom fight and was later convicted of manslaughter. Iry has just been paroled after serving two years in the state prison at Angola.
