When you begin to develop your stories and your characters (new characters who have not been part of the ongoing DR series, especially), do you ever ask for the opinions of your wife or any of your family as to how a certain situation should play out, or how a character should be portrayed? I guess what I'm asking is if you ever get writer's block, stuck on a scene that you don't quite know where to go with it, or stuck with an interesting character who you don't quite know what to do with. Does your family ever have the chance to critique your writing as it progresses, or is your work-in-progress kept under lock and key until completion?
Thanks, Jim
