Louisiana to Montana.

Louisiana to Montana.

Recently on the Canadian Broadcasting Corpotation there was a radio documentary on the BP oil spill after 2 years. I have always been curious as to the move of Mr. Burke to Montana, whether the move was triggered by the devastation caused by the BP spill or whether it was simply a choice made from personal need. In Canada we now have government that is prepared to relax our existing environmental laws in the name of economic development and I foresee the same potential for disaster in Canada. Thoughts.

The equipment for the recovery of shale oil in northern Alberta is being driven on huge trucks down the two-lane at the bottom of the valley where we live. I suspect the damage caused by the recovery of shale oil will be enormous.

Creole Belle deals with an oil-well blowout in the Gulf of Mexico. The pollution of the Gulf and the ruination of the Louisiana wetlands is not a new story, however. It has been going on as long as I can remember.

Best,

Jim
