Tin Roof Blowdown

Hi Mr. Burke - I was re-reading Tin Roof Blowdown and found two interesting connections. One, you mentioned Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. I was offered a job interview at that hospital. They called me and tried to convince me to come down for the interview but we couldn't agree on money and my wife (from Massachusetts) doesn't like the Southern climate. (I love it down there).

Also you mention the Citadel library in your book. I know the library director at the Citadel. She is an excellent librarian and a non-fiction author of some note in the library community.

Thanks, Mr. M. I hope the lady at the Citadel likes the portrayal. My wife is a retired librarian, and long ago, as every writer learns, I discovered the best source of information on the planet is a reference librarian. They could tell you the shoe size of Tiny Tim. They know the name of Marie Antoinette's hairdresser. They could find the street address of the cave man who invented the wheel.

All the best,

JLB
