HI Guys
I'm 100% Canuckian ... and I never knew I had an accent until I took a trip to Texas, Arkansas and Missouri and talked with folks while there ... lots of people asked where I got that cute accent! Anyhow, while reading, I "hear" characters speak however I think their accent sounds.

Ya, I know ... a room has been reserved for me at The Happy Farm LOL

Regards!!

The pick up truck Tommy Lee Jones was driving was much too new. Dave would drive one with four fenders like a '55 Ford or Chevy.

Just finished watching 'Electric Mist' yes i know, but i'm in the UK and we always have to wait! :D Tommy Lee Jones did a first rate job...well everyone really. Loved it. Its very good when a JLB book comes to life on the big screen (my TV)
Just finished 'Rain Gods' as well...hope that becomes a movie as well.
Worth the wait!

A good book screens like a movie in your mind and as always there will be scenes and characters which will just fall short of what your noggin intended them to be. ahem...
Whenever I read a scene with Clete in it, I cannot get the image of a younger John Goodman, [say Rosie days] out of my mind.. he portrays gonzo so well[see big lebowski] ..I was , sadly dissapointed when I realized he was not cast as the noble Clete. I mean if Tommy Lee was young enough to portray Dave, then John Goodman was a shoe-in for Clete. just sayin`...
regardless, it is a treat to see any of James`s books on the big screen..

Yes, he'd be a great Clete, and could still be cast in the future. Hopefully there will be another film
